Orientations for Youth, Parents/Guardians, Educators & Professionals:

Orientation for Parents and Youth:

A vital part of the Enrollment Process is attending one Orientation Session.  The enrollment is not complete until parents/guardian attend the mandatory orientation.  We offer several different session dates and times so that parents/guardians can attend.  If parents/guardians do not attend the regquired orientation, the enrollment goes into the "waiting list" status.  Because we have limited slots we want to be inclusive to as many families as possible and, want to serve those parents that are willing to "engage" in their youth's IEP.  So it is very important that you attend orientaton each year that your youth is enrolled in our program.

Orientations for Educators & Professionals:

After the program academic year has started, we invite the educators, case managers, parole/probabtion officers that are involved with the youth in our program to orientation.  These are members of the one2one "village" and, are included as part of "passage process".

The 2006/7 Academic Program Year Orientation is scheduled for:

Staff plans to meet with each professional individual for Orientation TBA for each school, then there will be two Group Session throughout the academic year.

The 1st Group Session scheduled for the week of March 25, 2007 @ the Main Campus.

The 2nd Group Session is scheduled for the week of May 21, 2007 @ the Main Campus.

For more information about orientation and the group sessions call the office @ 440.409.3189.

IEP Workshops:

During the Academic Program Year we offer workshops for parents/guardians centered on IEP related issues.  These classes are fee based in range from $5.00 to $10.00 per workshop.  We required you to register with the office for workshops as they are scheduled.  You will receive information in the mail about workshops and registration.  In the event that we don't have enough interest (registration) for a particular topic that workshop will be canceled.

We want parents/guardians to be the ones that suggest topics that you want to know about.  We will try to make sure that workshops are always parent/guardian focused and, that resources gained from the workshops support your "involvement" in your youth's IEP.  Thus, enabling you to become enpowered advocates for your youth with IEPs.

For more information on workshops watch this space and or call the office.

Door Prizes:

For every session we have @ our organization, we try to offer door prizes.  You just never know what we might have waiting for you unless you attend.  This is also a way of getting you to the sessions "on time" as well.  Our door prizes are usually aimed the first few attendee!!!

Pictured below are some of the people that have won door prizes.  Door prizes in these pictures ranged from tickets  to a Cleveland Browns Game, children's play, a Cleveland Browns Practice.  At this year's Session I Parents/Guardian Orientation the was a gift basket for the "first" parent to arrive!

What do we have in store for the rest?   Just will just have to attend to find out!
